Ackerman Toyota Dealer, home of a wide selection of Toyota Hybrid cars in St. Louis MO is pleased to announce that the 2010 Toyota Prius is a fuel efficient hybrid vehicle that is a great alternative to a regular midsize sedan for many buyers.  In 2010 the Prius was redesigned and the reviews are all positive.   “It’s a huge improvement over the outgoing model,” says Cars.com. “Not only is the interior vastly improved, the car gets even better mileage: It’s now rated at 51/48 mpg city/highway, 50 mpg combined.”

Many times vehicles that deliver good fuel economy come up short when it comes to power and performance, but with the Prius, fuel economy is delivered without compromise.  A more spacious interior cabin and added power contribute to the appeal of the Toyota Hybrid.

According to reviewers today’s buyer looks for a high mpg low maintenance vehicle and the 2010 Toyota Prius Hybrid is a perfect choice.  The Prius offers more power than previous generation Prius models and reviewers say that the drive is more like a regular non hybrid car.  According to BestCars; “its interior is well constructed with high quality materials. A high-tech theme, complete with an innovative “touch tracer display” designed to allow the driver to adjust climate and entertainment functions without taking their eyes off the road, gives it a unique personality.

“What’s most surprising about the Prius is what a fine midsize car it would be even if it didn’t get such terrific fuel economy,” according to Consumer Guide.

“When gas prices go back up, you’ll wish you had one.” — New York Times

” It’s the same oddly shaped hybrid that almost two million buyers love, but it gets better mileage, looks sharper and is packing more technological whiz-bangery than any vehicle this simple to drive has the right to.” — Autoblog

“The 2010 Toyota Prius is almost all-new in almost every department. It does just about everything the previous Prius did better.” — AutoWeek

“With the new, third-generation Prius, Toyota is aiming to broaden the car’s appeal beyond the green set.” — Automobile Magazine

“It created a segment, it changed minds, it validated a technology, it raised awareness. It united blue-collar workers and university professors in a brotherhood and sisterhood of thrift. It’s cool. It’s dorky. If everyone drove one, we could tell OPEC to kiss our behinds. I’ll take mine in red.” — Los Angeles Times

used Toyota Hybrid near BallwinAckerman Toyota Dealer, home of a great selection of new and used Toyota Hybrid cars in Saint Louis is pleased to announce that the reviews are in and the critics have spoken!!  For readers who are in the market for a new Toyota Hybrid,  researching the reviews for past models may help guide your purchase.  Reviews of the 2011 Toyota Hybrid has proved especially helpful. Kelly Blue Book has said of the 2011 Toyota Hybrid that it “no longer carries the original car’s quirky, new-age image. The 2011 Prius has gone from eco-novelty commuter to the vehicle of choice for those desiring to spend less on fuel and more on comfort and versatility. Not only has the Prius invaded the garages of empty-nester across America, it has become a catalyst for prodding other manufacturers to enter the hybrid arena.”  Similarly, Car Connection described the 2011 Toyota Hybrid boasts a sleek, dramatic roofline, and a surprising amount of interior space.  Car Connection went on to add that the cargo space of the 2011 model easily expands for increased storage and hauling room.  And it’s not just the electric mode that makes the Prius “green,” all plastics used throughout the car’s interior are carbon neutral as well. One piece of praise that is the most echoed throughout 2011 Toyota Hybrid reviews is the fact that it doesn’t sacrifice safety for fuel efficiency.  The Prius comes equipped with 7 airbags, and even a knee bag.  Anti-lock brakes, traction control, stability control, and tire pressure monitors are offered as standard as well.  Additional safety options are offered as well, and they include radar cruise control, a rearview camera, and Safety Connect, just to name a few.  The Prius’ impressive safety features did not go unnoticed; the National Institute for Highway Safety awarded it top ratings.
